Here are some frequently asked questions about the Spring Challenge. To find out more about the Challenge, please visit our webpage.
Can my child take part in the #DoodleMathsChallenge and the #DoodleEnglishChallenge?
Absolutely! By taking part in both Challenges, your child can earn two pinbadges and two certificates - and you’ll automatically be entered into a prize draw to win £50 worth of educational goodies!
To take part in both Challenges, your child will need to earn a 7-day streak and 400 stars in DoodleMaths and a 7-day streak and 400 stars in DoodleEnglish.
To receive your pinbadges and certificates free of charge, you will need a paid DoodleMaths subscription and a paid DoodleEnglish subscription per child per Challenge entry. The awards will also be available to purchase in the Doodle Store.
Can my child use DoodleTables or DoodleSpell to earn their stars and streak?
Yes! Your streak will carry over between DoodleMaths and DoodleTables, so you’re free to alternate between using DoodleMaths and DoodleTables to earn your streak.
You can also earn stars across both apps. To keep track of your stars, you can keep a tally of the stars you’ve earned by using our printable Spring Challenge sheet.
How do I take a screenshot of my child's streak in DoodleConnect?
Download the free DoodleConnect app from the App Store or Google Play and log in using your parent details. Press on the ‘plus’ icon to toggle to DoodleMaths and select ‘2w’ to view your child’s progress over the last two weeks.
Scroll down the page until you see your child’s streak. Then, take a screenshot (please refer to your device’s instructions to see how to do this) and upload it via the entry form on the DoodleMaths Challenge or DoodleEnglish Challenge webpages.
I have a school Doodle subscription, can I still take part?
Of course! To enter, you’ll need to link your email address to your child’s school account.
To do this, please log in to the DoodleMaths app with the login details provided by your school and tap on grown ups - you’ll see an option to link an existing parent account (if you’ve previously used DoodleMaths or DoodleEnglish) or create a new one. Then, follow the in-app instructions to create or link your account.

I'm not sure how or what to post on social media
We ask parents to share their experiences of the Challenge on social media to celebrate their Doodlers’ fantastic work and to spread word of the Challenge as a way to prevent learning loss during prolonged periods away from the classroom.
Your posts could be anything from a photo of your Doodler using DoodleMaths to a screenshot of the app - feel free to let your creativity shine!
Simply head to our DoodleMaths Facebook page, Instagram account or Twitter page and post twice about the Challenge using the hashtag #DoodleMathsChallenge and tagging @DoodleMaths so we can see your posts.
These posts don’t need to be made on the same day and can be made any time before you submit your Challenge entry form.
How do I receive a pinbadge and certificate free of charge for completing the Challenge/s?
To receive a pinbadge and certificate free of charge, you will need to fulfil the Challenge requirements (a 7-day streak and 400 stars achieved between 1st - 30th April) and have a paid DoodleMaths subscription and/or a paid DoodleEnglish subscription per child per Challenge entry.
If you don't have a paid subscription, the awards will also be available for purchase in our Doodle Store.
